Whether you are foraging through the jungles of the Amazon, or exploring the wildlife in Africa, chances are you are going to need to take Malaria pills. With my first trip to India in the next few weeks, I headed to the travel doctor to pick up a prescription, and find out more about these pills.
It turns out that like most medications, Malaria pills come in different varieties, with the two most popular options being Mefloquine (Lariam) and Malarone. Each pill comes with its own set of instructions, varying from digesting once a week, to every day, and include unique sets of side affects.
